Support & Services for the Midlands LGBTQ+ Community
It can be isolating to be LGBTQ+ in South Carolina, but here at the Harriet Hancock Center we provide you with a safe and welcoming space for South Carolina’s LGBTQ+ community and its allies. We strive to create a space for to be yourself, receive social support from those who understand your experiences, and a way to keep up with LGBTQ+ culture in the Midlands. As a community center, our main offerings are support & social groups, educational material, and a directory of community resources.
We provide community support and resources with a variety of services.
Community resources throughout South Carolina for the LGBTQ+ community. Includes crisis assistance, medical services, counseling services, community organizations, LGBT friendly businesses, affirming religious congregations, etc.
Community resources throughout South Carolina specifically for the transgender community. Includes legal services, medical providers, counseling services, etc.
Change Your Name, Change Your Life - a name change and gender marker clinic in partnership with the Transgender Awareness Alliance.
Keep up with what’s going on in our community and any upcoming events by looking at our calendar.
