Volunteer

At the Harriet Hancock Center, we believe that volunteering is not just about giving your time; it’s about making a meaningful impact in our community. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring that our center remains an accessible and welcoming space for everyone. By dedicating their time and talents, our volunteers help us maintain operational hours from Monday through Friday, allowing community members to come in, connect, and feel at home.

The contributions of our volunteers enable us to engage in life-changing and life-saving work. Whether it’s staffing the center during business hours, answering calls and emails, facilitating peer support groups, or supporting events that we host or participate in, our volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. Their passion and commitment help us create a supportive environment for individuals seeking resources, community, and empowerment.

All of our volunteers are managed by our Executive Director and Volunteer Coordinator, ensuring a positive and productive experience. We would also like to recognize our dedicated department coordinators, who are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our organization:

  • Andy Reeder (she/her), Communications Coordinator

  • Em Miller (they/them), Outreach Coordinator

  • Rachel Garrett (she/her), Volunteer Coordinator

If you’re interested in learning more about how you can make a difference through volunteering, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator, Rachel Garrett, at volunteer@harriethancockcenter.org.

Join us in our mission to support and uplift our community - your time and efforts can create lasting change!
